Human Resources Manager, a coordinator in the field

The HR manager works in synergy with all members of the company: directors, managers, staff members, trade union representatives... His knowledge of Group sites and professions enables him to have a global and constructive vision of Human Resources organisation.

Working in collaboration

• With general managment (or the Human Resources Director), the human resources manager pilots the implementation of the Group's human resources strategy. Health policy, individual development, social regulations... he makes proposals concerning personnel management. His role is also to anticipate necessary adaptations in the employment fields.

• With operational managers, he shares his management know-how and knowledge of labour laws. He also assists team managers in matching operational criteria to strategic objectives.

• With staff members, he exchanges information concerning job creation, organisational changes, etc. He also supervises new arrivals and helps them integrate into teams.

• With personnel representatives, he prepares meetings with different bodies (trade unions, staff representatives, works committee and health, safety and work conditions committee), and participates in these work sessions.

• With his assistant or team, he carries out administrative tasks: pay and social panels, work contracts, relations with social panels, work contracts, relations with social labour bodies, controlling respect for health and safety rules...

Prospective work

The human resources manager is responsible for collecting a large quantity of data about personnel at different Group sites. This data, processed by appropriate tools, makes it possible to:

• prepare a social report;
• put in place salary scales, mobility, promotion or training plans;
• devise recruitment procedures.

Career prospects

The human resources manager can become human resources director. Another possible cursus: working as a consultant in this sector.
