“Schneider Electric is rolling out an action plan to improve and reduce consumption. Our commitment to our customers is to significantly improve their energy efficiency, whether in their buildings, factories, infrastructures or homes. Moreover, we supply them with products and solutions that exceed current rules of environmental compliance” explains Eric Pilaud, Executive Vice President – Strategy, Customers & Technology and Services & Projects Business Unit.

In Indonesia, Schneider Electric supports the training of young people in our professions

Witnessed by the Batam city mayor and the Head of Education Department, a joint agreement has been signed between Schneider Electric Batam manufacturing plant and the local vocational school SMKN1.
Both participants agreed to open in the school a special class with 15 students, who will be trained on vocational studies related to electrical fields. The curriculum is also made to increase their awareness on workplace knowledge and skills they should develop, for instance: occupational health and safety, respect the environment, improve ergonomics at work, etc.

The class is conducted and taught by both existing school teachers and volunteered Schneider Electric employees. The objective is to help improve teaching level in Indonesia and meet the increasing need, coming from companies, for qualified and expert workers.

The class rooms facility and equipment were donated by Schneider Electric (59 electrical equipments, educational equipment, computers, furniture, etc.).The joint cooperation is also made to sponsor primary schools located on other islands, where the school students have regular visit and also organize plants visits for field study purposes.
